La Grande Journée is a level-marked, off-piste trail to be undertaken with skis
Once on top of the Attelas lifts in Verbier, take the Mont-Gelé cable car. On your way out, walk straight for about 50m and put your skis on. Keep to the left for 100m. Go down the first NE face of Mont-Gelé, following the indications (wooden poles).
At the bottom of the first face, skirt the left side to follow the route (underneath the Louettes Econdouè), until you reach an altitude of about 2460m.
The itinerary then goes to the right of Lués Teises to reach them; cross to the right for about 300m, following the wooden poles (cross the moraine), then go down for about 600m, fully north-facing.
Go to the right of the rocks, your altitude 2272m.
From an altitude of 2200m, follow the groomed piste as far as the end of the Tortin lift. From here, take the Chassoure – Tortin eight-seater cable car to reach the starting point for the Attelas peak. Go down along the Lac des Vaux 2 ski slope and take the Lac des Vaux 1 chair lift.
You will find the starting point of Les Attelas at the chairlift arrival.
